TAJ MAHAL
One of the wonders of the world is the Taj Mahal. It is a monumental representation of human love. Never before and never after, a man has chosen to convey his never dying love to his wife. Emperor Shah Jahan, of India was dedicated to his queen Mumtaz Mahal.
There are many legends to substantiate his interminable love and affection for Mumtaz.
One can visualize the kind of involvement he could have with his wife, that he could create such a world wonder to perpetuate the memory of his wife.
Taj Mahal is regarded as one of the eight wonders of the world, and some Western historians have noted that its architectural beauty has never been surpassed. The Taj is the most beautiful monument built by the Mughals, the Muslim rulers of India. Taj Mahal is built entirely of white marble. Its stunning architectural beauty is beyond adequate description, particularly at dawn and sunset. The Taj seems to glow in the light of the full moon. On a foggy morning, the visitors experience the Taj as if suspended when viewed from across the Jamuna river.
Taj Mahal was built by a Muslim, Emperor Shah Jahan (died 1666 C.E.) in the memory of his dear wife and queen Mumtaz Mahal at Agra, India. It is an “elegy in marble” or some say an expression of a “dream.” Taj Mahal (meaning Crown Palace) is a Mausoleum that houses the grave of queen Mumtaz Mahal at the lower chamber. The grave of Shah Jahan was added to it later. The queen’s real name was Arjumand Banu. In the tradition of the Mughals, important ladies of the royal family were given another name at their marriage or at some other significant event in their lives, and that new name was commonly used by the public. Shah Jahan’s real name was Shahab-ud-din, and he was known as Prince Khurram before ascending to the throne in 1628.
Taj Mahal was constructed over a period of twenty-two years, employing twenty thousand workers. It was completed in 1648 C.E. at a cost of 32 Million Rupees. The construction documents show that its master architect was Ustad ‘Isa, the renowned Islamic architect of his time. The documents contain names of those employed and the inventory of construction materials and their origin. Expert craftsmen from Delhi, Qannauj, Lahore, and Multan were employed. In addition, many renowned Muslim craftsmen from Baghdad, Shiraz and Bukhara worked on many specialized tasks.
The Taj stands on a raised, square platform (186 x 186 feet) with its four corners truncated, forming an unequal octagon. The architectural design uses the interlocking arabesque concept, in which each element stands on its own and perfectly integrates with the main structure. It uses the principles of self-replicating geometry and a symmetry of architectural elements.
Its central dome is fifty-eight feet in diameter and rises to a height of 213 feet. It is flanked by four subsidiary domed chambers. The four graceful, slender minarets are 162.5 feet each. The entire mausoleum (inside as well as outside) is decorated with inlaid design of flowers and calligraphy using precious gems such as agate and jasper. The main archways, chiseled with passages from the Holy Qur’an and the bold scroll work of flowery pattern, give a captivating charm to its beauty. The central domed chamber and four adjoining chambers include many walls and panels of Islamic decoration.
The mausoleum is a part of a vast complex comprising of a main gateway, an elaborate garden, a mosque (to the left), a guest house (to the right), and several other palatial buildings. The Taj is at the farthest end of this complex, with the river Jamuna behind it. The large garden contains four reflecting pools dividing it at the center. Each of these four sections is further subdivided into four sections and then each into yet another four sections. Like the Taj, the garden elements serve like Arabesque, standing on their own and also constituting the whole.

While the physical address are the hardware or MAC addresses and are encrypted on the NIC chip of you computer. Which is why they are called the hardware address.
These addresses are highly essential to perform any type of networking action.

CEMENT IT UP!!!
Portland Cement happens to be the most common type of cement in use in most parts of the world, as it is a basic ingredient of concrete, mortar, stucco and most non-specialty grout. It is a fine powder produced by grinding Portland cement clinker (more than 90%), a limited amount of calcium sulfate which controls the set time, and up to 5% minor constituents (as allowed by various standards).
The ordinary Portland Cement can be found as either concrete or mortar and thus used in both the types of constructions. Portland cement was implemented in 1824 by an English man, Joseph Aspdin. Unfortunately, his mixes of ingredients are not used today and did not suit our needs.
The mix which became completely successful, and which is used today, was designed by none other than his son, William Aspdin in about1843, what an irony.
Portland cement will usually takes many hours to set, and will surely harden in a matter of weeks. After about a week the cement’s strength would be around 23 MPa, whereas three month old cement has strength of 41 MPa. Various other treatments and additives can make cement set and harden at different rates, and various types of Portland cement also posse’s different properties which would affect the rate of setting and hardening.
The ASTM C150 standard states that there are five types of Portland cement. They are Type I Portland cement, Type II Portland cement, Type III Portland cement, Type IV Portland cement, Type V Portland cement and White Portland cement.
Type I Portland cement is the most common type of cement and is commonly referred to as general purpose Portland cement Type II Portland cement is quite similar in price to Type I cement, but it has higher sulfate resistance, and is thus more suitable for applications in which the concrete comes in contact with the ground, or is buried in the ground.
Type III Portland cement develops strength quickly, but is slightly less in strength when compared to other types. Type III Portland cement is used in applications where quick hardening and strength is essential. Type IV Portland cement has low heat of hydration, and it gives off less heat as it sets and hardens than other types of Portland cement. They set very slowly, but are much stronger after curing than other types of cement. It is rarely used cement.
Type V Portland cement has a very high sulfate resistance, and is designed for use in applications where the cement is to be exposed to highly alkaline soil or water, which often contains large amounts of sulfates which can cause other types of cement to expand and distort. The white Portland cements are white in color and could be of any type.
When cement is mixed with water a highly alkaline solution (pH ~13) is produced by the dissolution of calcium, sodium and potassium hydroxides. Gloves, goggles and a filter mask should be used for protection. Hands should be washed after contact. Cement can cause serious burns if contact is prolonged or if skin is not washed promptly. Once the cement hydrates, the hardened mass can be safely touched without gloves.
Portland Cement has a range of applications. Concrete is made by combining water, sand, gravel, and cement, whereas mortars are made by combining cement with water and sand only. Concrete is much stronger than mortar, and is used in most modern buildings as a durable and strong construction material capable of bearing great loads. Mortar is used to bind other substances together, such as the bricks in a house.

CAUSES OF ACROPHOBIA
There are all sorts of phobias mentioned in the text like acrophobia, vertigo, technophobia, xenophobia, and the like.
Acrophobia, is a commonly experienced phenomena and every third friend of yours may have that.
One may not have the same degree of courage and boldness by looking down from the 15th floor as he does from the 3rd.
What really happens??
Medical authorities give their own explanations.
Conventionally, acrophobia has been attributed, like other phobias, to conditioning or a fearsome experience involving heights. Recent studies have cast doubt on this explanation; fear of falling, along with fear of loud noises, is one of the commonly suggested inborn or non-associative fears. The newer non-association theory is that fear of heights is an evolved adaptation to a prehistory where falls posed a significant danger. The quantity of fear varies and the term phobia is reserved for those at the extreme end of the spectrum. It has been argued by researchers that fear of heights is an instinct found in many mammals, including domestic animals and human beings. Experiments using what are known as “visual cliffs” have shown human infants and toddlers, as well as other animals of various ages, to be reluctant in venturing onto a glass floor with a view of a few meters of apparent fall-space below it. While an innate cautiousness around heights might be helpful for survival, an extreme fear can interfere with the activities of everyday life, such as climbing up a flight of stairs or a ladder.
A possible contributing factor is dysfunction in maintaining balance. In this case the anxiety is both well founded and secondary. The human balance system integrates proprioceptive, vestibular and nearby visual cues to reckon position and motion. As height increases visual cues recede and balance becomes poorer even in normal people. However most people respond by shifting to more reliance on the proprioceptive and vestibular branches of the equilibrium system.
An acrophobic, on the other hand, continues to overrely on visual signals whether because of inadequate vestibular function or incorrect strategy. Locomotion at a high elevation requires more than normal visual processing. The visual cortex becomes overloaded resulting in confusion. Some proponents of the alternative view of acrophobia warn that it may be ill-advised to encourage acrophobics to expose themselves to height without first resolving the vestibular issues. Research is underway at several clinics.
